Root textile demonstrates bio-design in its simplest terms. As the wheatgrass seeds sprout their root binds below to form a naturally woven structure. Wheatgrass root is cultivated in delicately carved, natural beeswax templates to create textures of marine coral sea fans. The root runs through the templates and takes the form of the templates it grows on.
This piece is mounted on wire and can be suspended from the ceiling with monofilament or attached to the wall with long hooks.

Care
Root textile is a natural fibre and, like a straw hat or a linen cloth, will last for many years if kept from the elements.
Any settled dust can be removed using a vacuum on a low suction setting or dusted with a soft brush.
