Slow Ways:
Our Common Ground

This May, we bring together an exhibition of remarkable craft and heritage skills at art’otel London Hoxton.

The show features work from the makers we encountered during our 1,300-mile walk across the length of Britain. This is alongside additional QEST and Heritage Craft alumni. From tanning, turning & weaving to printing, engraving & stitching, the show presents the spirit of the handmade and the importance of its protection. We want to encourage all visitors to look closely at the exchange between material and technique and to consider our landscape and the creations it supports.

It is vital we ensure that UK crafts hold a prominent position in our heritage. All the support you can give goes a very long way. We look forward to welcoming you!

Coinciding with London Craft Week, the programme will include a series of special events throughout the month:

7 May

Panel Talk — Private Invitation Only

An evening discussion on the future of craft featuring Lulu Lytle (SOANE), Dr Guy Hayward (British Pilgrimage Trust) and James Stevens (BARD). Doors open from 18:00, panel begins at 19:00.

8 May

Opening Night

Join us to celebrate the launch of the exhibition.

14 May

The Makers’ Table — An Evening of Craft & Conversation
