There are 9 individual lamps in the hanging pod collection, each one unique. They can be displayed either as a set or hung individually. Please note that this listing is for a single lamp.

Inspired by microscopic sea organisms, known as diatoms, each pendant light has been grown into a unique pillbox-like shell of overlapping halves. When the lamps are lit, they display a complex network of roots that are organically woven together. These lamps can function as individual pieces or as part of a larger installation.

Each Hanging Pod is grown from wheatgrass root and measures approximately 50(h) x 30 x 30cm. The lamps are supplied with a 2m black cable as standard, E14 bulb and fitting.

As the root grows, it buries down onto beeswax templates to take the form of the final piece. From seed to harvest, it takes two weeks for the root to form a resilient textile. This is bio-design in its simplest form - harnessing natural processes to grow regenerative and functional materials.

E14 screw fitting, supplied with Osram warm white LED bulb (2700k), 7W (equivalent to 60W halogen), dimmable with a 15,000-hour life span (almost 2 years of continuous light) 3-year guarantee, LEDVANCE energy rating E
Keep the root shade at least 3cm away from a bare bulb.
Not suitable for incandescent, compact fluorescent or halogen lightbulbs. Do not exceed 5 watts
Not suitable for use in damp conditions.
Do not cover. IP20
